Fortunately for new city riders, there is a HUGE market of potential city bikes ranging from $400-700. These bikes won’t last forever but if you are going a short distance or need something affordable to get you started then this price range is perfect. As an aside, if you are wanting something reliable for daily riding and maybe some long rides on the weekends then this price range will probably wear out fairly quickly for you.
For many bikes, at the lower end of this price
